FROM YOUR FIRST FIND TO YOUR NEXT INSIGHT

The essentials. Connected.

A direct path between you, your queries and your data.

01

Explore with context

Browse databases and collections. Know which connection you are using, without running queries when selecting a collection.

02

Write with clarity

A query editor with deterministic autocomplete and formatting. Execute when you are ready, with the context of your tab.

03

Look beyond JSON

Inspect results as JSON or a tree while preserving BSON types such as ObjectId, UUID and dates.

04

Edit with intention

Review changes before writing. Explicit confirmations and read-only profiles help you control operations.

05

Take your results along

Export the loaded page as Extended JSON or CSV and keep working with the tools you already use.

06

Open by nature

Open source under the MIT license. Follow decisions, report issues and help shape the project.

ONE FLOW, START TO FINISH

Connect. Explore. Understand.

From your database to an answer, without losing your train of thought.

BEFORE YOU START

A few good questions.

Is KapibaraStudio free?

Yes. The project is free and open source under the MIT license. Donations are optional and help sustain development.

Which operating systems are supported?

Packages are available for Windows and Linux on x64 and ARM64. Each package’s availability is shown in the downloads section. There is no official macOS package.

Do I need AI to use the app?

No. Connections, queries and deterministic autocomplete work without an AI model. Local AI features are optional and experimental; see the documentation for limits and requirements.

Can I use it in production?

The product is still experimental and has not undergone a full human review, security audit or production validation. Prefer test databases. If accessing production, use backups and read-only credentials.
